April 7 is internationally recognised as World Health Day. This year, the theme is focused on curbing diabetes. The diabetes epidemic is rapidly increasing in many countries but fortunately the disease is treatable.
To help inculcate a healthy lifestyle, Ivorycares organised a hike up to Station Three on March 19 (Saturday) as part of the global health awareness effort. The main aim of the event was to promote a healthy lifestyle and workplace harmony among Ivorians through outdoor activities. The event garnered a good response from fellow Ivorians. Some of them also brought along their friends and family members. It was a rare occasion for Ivorians to meet for leisure outside of work and the event also managed to strike up a friendship or two during the hike.
Lucky participants also won some amazing lucky draw prizes during brunch at the Garden Paradise Café on Waterfall Road after the hike.
